Every business has the right to operate
without the interference of a labor union! Labor organizations are
on the move and are targeting any business that will increase their
membership.
This session covers what to do and not to do if you hear rumblings
of union activity. Detailed case studies and NLRB materials guide
participants through union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practices
and the NLRB election process. If you loose your union free status
can loose the ability to reward and encourage key employees, effectively
and efficiently discipline and discharge substandard employees.
If you don't have the answers to these questions
you should attend this session:
- What employee groups might end up in a
bargaining unit at your facility?
- Would temporary employees be permitted
to cast votes in a representation election?
- Can your employees end up with union representation
without casting a vote - or even in the absence of an election?
- Who is the NLRB?
The National Labor Relations Board oversees
and governs union organization, elections, unfair labor practices
A key point to note is that the word "Management" is not
in the agency's title. By it's mandate the agency is biased toward
labor and management bears the burden of proof in most situations.
Are you a target of or vulnerable to unionization?
Our in-class assessment will help you identify areas of concern.
Included in the course materials is a full-text
copy of the National Labor Relations Act.
After you register, email us at UnionFree@TheMissionGroup.Net
to provide suggested topics or specific questions you hope to answer
through this session. This input allows us to tailor the session
to the needs of each audience. Let us know where you want the session
to go!
Participation in this session is limited
to Management employees only! Key decision-making management personnel
(Plant Managers, Department Managers, Human Resource Managers) will
gain information to help in policy decisions. Supervisors and lower
level managers will benefit with the hands-on application of our
recommended practices.
If three persons attend from the same organization
a fourth can attend at no cost.
Lunch and materials are included with your
registration fee.
